San Diego offers such a wide, diverse culture that just about anyone would enjoy. Whether you are on a family vacation, or even by yourself or on your honeymoon; there is plenty for you to do to keep busy. The most dazzling and “must-see” of the area are the following:
Legoland: Even if you are an adult, this spectacular theme-park is made up of 15,000 LEGO models built from over 30 million LEGO bricks; it is a marvel people of all ages can appreciate. The rides, shows, and water park playgrounds are best for families with children but the structures themselves will be enough to amaze anyone. There are also a few roller coaster–style attractions that keep the high strung and thrill seeking tourists from losing interest.
Balboa Park: Your best bet for an all-in-one attraction would be Balboa Park. You can find over 85 attractions within Balboa Park and it is the heart and soul of San Diego. Its 1,200 landscaped acres are home to museums, gardens, restaurants, and the ever popular San Diego Zoo. The best bets of these are the San Diego Museum of Man, the IMAX Theater, and the San Diego Museum of Art.
Of course, if you are venturing to San Diego or the West Coast you cannot miss the beaches. San Diego is home to over 70 miles of beautiful sandy beaches with over 15 distinctly different areas of beach. For the younger, partying crowd the Mission Beach/Pacific Beach provides you with a crazy summer beach experience. This is by far the most popular beach in the area, and if you enjoy people watching and spending time with the masses of drunken partiers; this is most defiantly your best bet. You can find plenty to do in San Diego; there are tons of popular in-town tours, much to see, and plenty of sun to soak up on the beautiful beaches.
